In 2008, the City of La Porte passed an ordinance requiring all hotels and motels within the city to post Shelter in Place information in every room of their facility. This was a joint effort by the City and LEPC to educate and protect those who are visitors to our city.

For new hotels or motels: Once you have completed posting the signs in each room, please print a copy of the "Shelter in Place Affidavit" and return a completed copy to the La Porte Office of Emergency Management at 604 W Fairmont Pkwy., La Porte, TX 77571.
