Elections

Dear Voter,

The La Porte Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District is holding a continuation election. This District has been in existence since 2011, and is funded by sales and use tax in the city of La Porte at rate of one-fourth of one percent. Because this is a sale and use tax, it does not impact your ad valorem (property) taxes. Any person shopping or eating in La Porte share in the funding of this District when they are charged sales tax.

Early voting continues through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at City Hall Council Chambers. The early voting polls are open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday is election day, and voting is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers. Please come out and vote!

If you have any questions, please call 281-470-5022 and ask to speak to Election Administrators Patrice Fogarty or Sharon Harris.
