Economic Development Incentives

The City of La Porte offers an enhancement grant program and an incentive grant program to qualifying applicants. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact Assistant City Manager Matt Daeumer at DaeumerM@laportetx.gov or (281) 470-5012 to discuss programs the City of La Porte offers.

Enhancement Grant Program

The La Porte Enhancement Grant Program, which is sponsored by the La Porte Development Corporation, offers matching grants to business which are located anywhere within the City of La Porte. Eligible improvements of the La Porte Enhancement Grant Program include façade rehabilitation/enhancement, beautification projects, new awnings, canopies, porches, signage, and parking lot improvements.

If you would like to apply for an enhancement grant, please fill out the Enhancement Grant Program Application and return it to City Hall. You will need to have the application approved prior to beginning work on your project. 

 

Incentive Grant Program

The La Porte Incentive Grant Program, which is sponsored by the La Porte Development Corporation, is determined by type of business, quality of jobs created or retained, wages paid, capital investment, and overall community impact. 

If you would like to apply for an incentive grant, please fill out the Incentive Grant Program Application and return it to City Hall. You will need to have the application approved prior to beginning work on your project.
