
Welcome to the City of La Porte Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Web Site. Our mission is to aggressively and continuously plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the quality of emergency medical services provided to the residents of and visitors to the City of La Porte.
The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Department is responsible for providing emergency life support services at the basic and advanced level. EMS staff consists of a Chief, Asst. Chief, Shift Supervisors, Paramedic III's, Paramedic II's, Paramedic I's, EMS Interns and a Billing Specialist. EMS utilizes four fully stocked Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances in its fleet, and has two MICU ambulances on-duty at all times along with the ALS equipped 1st responder vehicle that is operated by the on-duty EMS supervisor. The City of La Porte EMS has established itself in the community as an ardent supporter of public education. Our education programs include the: "Childhood Immunization Program," "Community CPR Classes," "Shattered Dreams Program" and a Child Safety Seat Program.

In 2009, the City of La Porte EMS responded to over 3,100 calls for service.
