Employee of the Quarter

The La Porte Police Department has recently named 
Officer Jeff Dalton as their
"Summer 2014 - Employee of the Quarter."

 

Officer Dalton joined the La Porte Police Department in 2001, and has since served among all three Patrol shifts.  He is also a former K-9 handler with multiple narcotic seizures and arrests.  Jeff is known among his fellow employees as having a high level of patience and attention to detail.  A recent example spotlighting Officer Dalton’s attention occurred in May when he observed a series of suspicious acts in a desolate section of the City.  Further investigation by Officer Dalton resulted in the prevention of a citizen’s death.  Because of his actions, Jeff was nominated for a Lifesaving Award, and was also unanimously voted as LPPD’s Employee of the Quarter.

The La Porte Police Department named 
Officer Sam Bianchino as their
"Spring 2014 - Employee of the Quarter."

 

Just one year after receiving the agency's Employee of the Quarter nomination, Officer Sam Bianchino was unanimously selected for the honor yet again.  Sam is well known for the spirit of enthusiasm he brings to the Night Shift Patrol Division and his never-quit attitude.  His leadership and dedication are an example to both fellow patrolmen and supervisors alike.  Officer Bianchino has been with LPPD for 4 years and, combined with his wealth of prior law enforcement experience, he is a frontrunner when it comes to catching burglars, car thieves, and many other criminals.

The La Porte Police Department named 
Sergeant Lee Stewart as their
"Winter 2013 - Employee of the Quarter."

Sergeant Lee Stewart has been with the La Porte Police Department for 17 years and has served in a variety of police roles for the agency.  He is currently assigned as the first-line supervisor of the Police Support Services Division, which includes participation and oversight of community outreach programs, the department's Police Area Representatives (P.A.R. officers), School Resource Officers, D.A.R.E. education, K-9 program, and overall department training.  Lee assumed supervisory duties in the Support Services Division in 2013 and has contributed greatly to the success of LPPD's most recent National Night Out, Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course, Blue Santa, and Citizens Police Academy programs.  Because of his continual promotion of unity with the citizens of La Porte, and the ongoing training of it's officers, Lee was unanimously voted as LPPD's employee of the quarter.

The La Porte Police Department named 
Officer Bennie Boles as their
"Fall 2013 - Employee of the Quarter."

 

Officer Bennie Boles has devoted several years of notable service to the La Porte Police Department as well as the Bay Area community at large.  Bennie has served LPPD as a member of the Patrol and Traffic Enforcement Divisions, while his current role also includes targeted D.W.I. enforcement and accident prevention efforts.  Adding to Officer Boles high-level of interaction with organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol, he is also a certified Drug Recognition Expert who is well known among the La Porte community as a vital asset in the monitoring and promotion of safety along area roadways.  Even with all of Bennie's contributions to the LPPD Traffic Division, he still manages to dedicate additional time and attention to various projects related to LPPD's Patrol Division, such as License Plate Reader acquisition and implementation.  Because of these, and many other efforts, Bennie was unanimously voted as LPPD's employee of the quarter.

The La Porte Police Department named 
Sergeant Rod Davis as their
"Summer 2013 - Employee of the Quarter."

Sgt. Rod Davis began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 1992 and has served among the Patrol, Community Services, and Traffic Enforcement Divisions.  For his current role,  Rod supervises  La Porte Police Department's Traffic Division and performs many duties, including the oversight of Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections, Accident Reconstruction, Impaired Driver Evaluation processes, Parade and Community Events along area roadways, TXDOT and Municipal S.T.E.P. program management, General Traffic enforcement, and supplemental Patrol supervision duties.  Sgt. Davis' traffic enforcement experience is not limited to La Porte Police, however.  Rod also served several years as a State Trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety before joining LPPD.  With his combined knowledge of Traffic law, procedure, and safety improvement methods, Sgt. Davis has proven himself a valuable member of the department over the course of several years.  Because of his continued service, and ongoing efforts to protect motorists along area roadways, Rod was unanimously selected as the department's employee of the quarter.

Officer Sam Bianchino as their
"Spring 2013 - Employee of the Quarter."

Sam has served the La Porte Police Department since 2010 and brings with him a wealth of prior law enforcement experience.  He is known by his co-workers as an optimistic, hard-working, and dedicated officer.  In addition to his various patrol contributions, Sam has also been a significant contributor in the apprehension of several area robbers.  Sam is regarded by his peers and agency supervisors as an example to all, and it is for this reason he was unanimously selected as the department's employee of the quarter.

Officer Dan Hoffman as their
"Winter 2012 - Employee of the Quarter."

Dan has served the La Porte Police Department since the close of 1990 and has contributed to the agency in many notable ways throughout his tenure.  Holding positions of Patrolman, Motor Enforcement Officer, Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector, Field Training Officer, Drug Recognition Expert, and Accident Reconstructionist, he has devoted many on and off duty hours to the success of LPPD.  Most recently, Dan was acknowledged by the agency for continuing efforts in aiding IT staff with implementation of various technological advances, an act which he has volunteered for quite often.  Dan's selfless acts have provided countless benefits for the Department.

Officer Matt Davidson as their
"Fall 2012 - Employee of the Quarter."

In just a year and a half with La Porte Police Department, Matt has been a major contributor to the Patrol Division.  Matt has been instrumental in the apprehension of motor vehicle burglars and has also shown diligence in follow-up investigations.  In fact, given his work ethic and a wealth of Law Enforcement experience within Harris County, Matt was just recently appointed as a Detective with the department's Criminal Investigation Division.  Matt has genuinely proven himself to be an asset for LPPD and its community members.

Officer Matt Parsons as their
"Summer 2012 - Employee of the Quarter."

Matt has been an Officer with the La Porte Police Department since 1999. He has served in multiple capacities, including Patrolman, Detective, and School Resource Officer (SRO). While Matt is known among fellow employees as a steadfast member of the organization, his most recent efforts as the coordinating SRO for the 2012 D.A.R.E. Camp were exceptional. Through the program’s existing youth outreach design, Matt incorporated various methods of instruction regarding drug resistance, anti-bullying techniques, and community service, while also expanding the program to elementary-level students. Through his involvement in the 2012 D.A.R.E. Camp, and various other ongoing youth-geared programs, Matt has exhibited his dedication to increasing the knowledge and utility of the future leaders and area community members.

Animal Control Officer Mike Moore as their
"Spring 2012 - Employee of the Quarter."

Mike began his career with La Porte Police Department's Animal Control Division in 1992, having over 10 years prior experience in the Animal Welfare field. During his tenure with La Porte, he has assisted in countless calls for service regarding both animal and community safety, as well as engaged in thousands of documented pet adoptions, to include 691 animals being adopted or rescued in 2011 rather than being euthanized. Mike consistently puts forth a commendable level of effort in nearly every task he performs and is commonly known to stay late and leave early in order to ensure his team members are well-prepared to serve the La Porte community. Examples of these traits and actions are common for Mike, but they were even more evident during the beginning of the year, leading him to the Spring 2012 nomination.

Officer Robyn Gallion as their
"Winter 2011 - Employee of the Quarter."

Robyn began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 1999, after serving several years as a member of the La Porte EMS staff. He has provided service for the agency as Patrol Officer, Crime Scene Investigator, Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector, Accident Reconstructionist, and a Police Area Representative for the Support Services Division. His performance in the Support Services Division is well above average and he is respected by his peers for his continual efforts. Robyn has an obvious commitment toward improvement in department/community relations and regularly interacts with citizens in a positive way. He is generous with his time and consistently ensures that projects he is involved in are first-rate.

Detective Kenny Martin as their
"Fall 2011 - Employee of the Quarter."

Kenny began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 2000 and has provided service for the agency as both a Patrol Officer and a Detective for the Street Crimes Division. Since joining the division, Kenny has proven himself as a motivated team-player and has been directly involved in multiple Felony and Misdemeanor arrests. His attention to detail and adherence to overall unit safety has made him well-respected among his peers and have also proven him to be an asset for the department.

Telecommunicator Shaye Bradley as their
"Summer 2011 - Employee of the Quarter."

Shaye joined the La Porte Police Department at the close of 2009 and has since provided exemplary service as an agency Telecommunicator. Since joining the dispatch team, she has taken on the additional role of Emergency Medical Dispatch Quality Assurance/Control representative, which monitors and trains dispatch staff in becoming better communicators in dealing with emergency medical calls. Shaye has also created a Morale Program for her work peers in an effort to improve the environment in an already stressful job. Her dedication to her daily tasks and personal extension to her co-workers are both traits beyond measure.

Officer Brion Boznango as their
"Spring 2011 - Employee of the Quarter."

Brion began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 2007 and has served as both an Evening-Shift and Night-Shift Patrolman. During the beginning of 2011 Brion captured the attention of peers and supervisors alike as he continually displayed great crime fighting efforts which resulted in the arrests of multiple area burglars and drug violators. His dedication to the La Porte Police Department's mission of providing a safe environment for the community was clearly evident and remains admirable.



The La Porte Police Department has recently named
Public Safety Attendant and Department Crime Analyst Austin Alberson as their
"Winter 2010 - Employee of the Quarter."

Austin began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 2007 and initially served as a full-time Public Safety Attendant in the facility Jail. However, a set of Austin's alternate talents were later recognized and he was appointed to an additional part-time role in 2009 as a Crime Analyst for the organization. His skills in crime mapping and trend forecasting, as well as his continued service in the Jail facility, have been an asset to the police department in their primary goal to suppress crime and enhance public safety.

Criminal Investigation Specialist Betsy Bergeron as their
"Fall 2010 - Employee of the Quarter."

Betsy began her career with the La Porte Police Department in 2008 and has provided service as both an Assistant to the Administrative Division and as a Criminal Investigative Specialist for the agency's Criminal Investigation Division. Since joining the Division, Betsy has been instrumental in the coordination of countless investigative & research activities and has proven herself as a valuable employee of the police department.

Since joining the division, Tobie has been involved in multiple drug-related investigations and arrests, which have proved a significant benefit for both the department and the citizens of La Porte

Detective Frank Fullbright as their
"Spring 2010 - Employee of the Quarter."

Frank began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 2000 and has provided service as both a Patrol Officer and a Detective for the Criminal Investigations Division. Since joining the division, Frank has proven to be a continued asset for the Police Department; working diligently to investigate criminal events.

Officer Matt Novosad as their
"Winter 2009 - Employee of the Quarter."

Matt began his career with the La Porte Police Department in 2000 and has provided service to the community as both a Patrol Officer and School Resource Officer. He is currently assigned to the Lomax Junior High campus and has proved himself a vital link between the Police Department, The City of La Porte, and La Porte ISD.



The La Porte Police Department named Animal Control Officer
Clarence Anderdson as their
"Fall 2009 - Employee of the Quarter."

Clarence has served with the City of La Porte's Humane Division since 1985. During his tenure, he has been a vital contributor to the success and advancement of the division. His persistent dedication led to ACO Anderson to being appointed as the Humane Supervisor in 2004 and he continues to be an essential component for both his division as well as the entire police department.

Wendy Swink as their
"Summer 2009 - Employee of the Quarter."

Wendy began her career with the City of La Porte as a Deputy Court Clerk in 2002, transferred to the Police Department in 2004 as a Records Specialist, and currently serves the La Porte Police Department as a Property Room Custodian. Her attention to detail and efficiency in the processing of evidence are a major asset to the Police Department.

Rafael Garza as their
"Spring 2009 - Employee of the Quarter."

Raphael has served with the La Porte Police Department as a Maintenance Technician since 2008 and has also provided the City of La Porte with an additional 10 years of service. His skills are valuable and clearly contribute to the success of the Police Department's mission.
