3rd Street Improvements Underway

Long Term Gain, Short Term Pain

As painful as any construction project is, this one is no different when it comes to traffic. The good news is the much needed drainage improvements long term benefits will far outweigh the short term inconvenience. This project is going to last approx 15 months and will move from its current location all the way down 3rd street to Main. The open ditches will go away and all drainage will be placed under the roadway. The roadways will then be brand new and our 3rd street residents will get sidewalks where the open ditches once were. We want to assure you that we are doing our best to get this portion of the project completed before the school year begins so that traffic on Fairmont can resume a normal flow. Local contractor Paskey Incorporated is doing the work and both the City contact and their contact are listed below! We will keep you updated with progress as it is made and we THANK YOU for your patience as we make these significant infrastructure improvements to our community!

Contact Numbers: Paskey Incorporated (281)-941-9321. James Clark, Street Superintendent, or Don Pennell, Assistant Public Works Director, at (281)471-9650. If immediate attention is required after hours, please contact La Porte Police Dispatch non-emergency number (281)471-3811 (or 911 for emergencies).
