The La Porte Police Department Blue Santa Program began in 2011. With the help of the La Porte Police Department and city and local businesses, we are able to provide local families with assistance and gifts throughout the Christmas Holidays. The La Porte Police Department emphasized that it is through local teamwork, such as the Blue Santa Program, that we can all make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
Our La Porte Police Officers Association is teaming up with the La Porte Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, La Porte Municipal Court, many other city departments, local businesses, and individual supporters for our annual BLUE SANTA program.
With the help of these local partners, the program is able to provide local families with assistance and gifts throughout the Christmas Holidays. In 2022, the Blue Santa Program assisted nearly 425 registered families, which allowed 1,500 children to receive gifts.
Join us and help in assisting local families to have a better Holiday Season. Collections stations will be set up around the City of La Porte Area and announced closer to the holiday season.
